When it comes to bridal bouquets there are many different types to choose from. Not all bouquets are created equal! There are actually a variety of styles that a bridal bouquet can fall under, depending on the shape and type of blooms. It's up to you to decide which style complements your gown and ceremony style. For example, a larger bouquet may be a better fit for a formal vow exchange at a church, while a smaller, looser arrangement will match a casual garden celebration!

Here are a few ideas of each type of bouquets for your big day!!

Cascade: A waterfall like spill of blooms anchored in a holder or hand tied.

Posy: One of the more popular options, it’s small, round bouquet tied with a ribbon.

Handtied: A classic choice, it’s simply a dense bunch of flowers loosely tied together.

Round: The more buttoned up version of the hand tied bouquet, tied with ribbon.

Nosegay: A compact, cluster of flowers, wrapped tight and cut to one uniformed length.

Pompanders: A flower covered ball shape tied with ribbon (perfect for flower girls).

Composite: Made up of different petals or buds wired together on a single stem.

Pantone has come out with its color of the year for 2017!  The color of the year is Greenery! A fresh and zesty yellow-greenish shade. A symbolic color for new beginnings!

Here at the Canoe Club Ballroom we have a lovely courtyard and grounds, and we think this color trend will work perfectly for our outside ceremonies as well as in our grand ballroom!

Here are some gorgeous ways to add a touch of greenery to your big day!!

A whimsical green & floral cown!

Use it for your beautiful invitations!

A small leaf with your place cards is a unique way to add a touch of green!

Garland across the tables is a perfect way to add the color into your color scheme!

Have a rustic cake with touches of greenery!

There is something very romantic about a winter wedding, and they are on the rise! Having a December wedding in the holiday season doesn’t mean you have to go all out in holiday traditions, like having eggnog or having a color palette of red and green. Adding festive touches is a fun way to incorporate the season into your special day!

Red Bouquet
A bouquet of red garden roses is a perfect pop of color!

Velvet
This seasonal fabric can add texture to your ensemble!

Pine Cones
Using this natural element is perfect as an accent for a boutonniere!

Jingle Bells
Have guest line the exit for a festive getaway using jingle bells

Gingerbread House
Instead of using a typical card box, why not use a gingerbread house!

Fuzzy Accessories
Wrap you and your bridesmaids in something warm and beautiful for outdoor photos!

S’mores Bar
Treat your guests to a s’mores bar for a late night snack!!

Hot Cocoa Bar
Along with the s’mores bar, warm your guests up with a hot cocoa bar!!
